The second cross-border Citizens Dialogue between Portugal and Spain, with young people from the Algarve and Andalusia, will take place today, Thursday, 25, in El Almendro, in the province of Huelva, Spain.

Francisco Serra, president of the Regional Coordination and Development Commission of the Algarve and Euroregion Alentejo – Algarve – Andalucía, will be present at the opening session, accompanied by other personalities.

Organized by the European Commission through the Europe Direct Information Centers of the Algarve and Huelva, the meeting counts on the participation of about 150 young people from the regions of the Algarve and Andalusia.

Under the theme 'What kind of Europe do we want?', The initiative aims to create a European public opinion with a view to the 2019 European elections.

On the table, there will be issues such as migration, defense, cohesion funds, agriculture, mobility, technology and research.

The works conclude with a guided visit to the heritage of the municipality of El Almendro, in the framework of the commemorations of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

The first meeting was held on May 30 in Tavira and a third edition is scheduled for February 14 next year, in the towns of Vila Real de Santo António and San Silvestre de Guzmán, simultaneously.
