Spanish cyclist Gustavo Veloso, winner of the 2014 and 2015 editions of Volta a Portugal, will be at the Atum General / Tavira / Maria Nova Hotel, the team announced today.

Veloso, 40, who was second in the last Tour of Portugal, repeating the classification of 2013 and 2016, decided to extend his career, due to the pandemic of covid-19, and heads to the Algarve formation, after five seasons at W52 / FC Porto, in a total of eight in the same structure, with experience at OFM / Quinta da Lixa.

The most consistent cyclist in the last decade in Volta a Portugal had already admitted the extension of his career, during the most important national velocipedic race, having the confirmation occurred in the invitation for the presentation of the reinforcements of the Tavira formation.

In addition to the Galician, born in Vilagarcía de Arousa, on the occasion, scheduled for Thursday, in Matosinhos, the following runners will also be presented as reinforcements of the team guided by Vidal Fitas: Rafael Lourenço (ex-Kelly / Simoldes / UDO), the Algarve Emanuel Duarte (ex-LA Alumínios / LA Sport) and the Spanish Samuel Blanco (ex-Supermercados Froiz).
