Dakar 2019 only runs in Peru and counts with 19 lusos - Jornal diariOnline Região Sul


The 2019 edition of the Dakar, which runs from January 6 to 17, 2019, will be fully disputed in Peru and has 534 drivers / navigators, of which 135 make their debut in the race.

In the mythical race will be represented 61 nationalities, with France being the most represented country, followed by Spain and the Netherlands, while Portugal will be present 19 people between pilots and navigators in the most diverse categories.

Mitchel Van Den Brink will be the mechanic of the number 506 truck and will be the youngest ever to participate in a Dakar, with only 16 years.

On motorcycles: # 2 – Paulo Gonçalves (Honda); # 27 – Joaquim Rodrigues (Hero); # 34 – Mário Patrão (KTM); # 52 – David Megre (KTM); # 54 – Fausto Mota (Husqvarna); # 62 – Hugo Lopes (KTM); # 75 – Antonio Maio (Yamaha); # 110 – Sebastian Buhler (KTM); and # 134 – Miguel Caetano (KTM).

In the cars: # 321 – Filipe Palmeiro (Mini) – navigator of Boris Garafulic; # 401 – Pedro Mello Breyner (Yamaha UTV); # 422 – Bruno Afonso Martins / Rui Ferreira (Can-Am X3 UTV).

In SSV: # 372 – Miguel Jordão / Lourival Roldan (Can-Am Maverick) and # 378 – Ricardo However / Jorge Monteiro (Can-Am Maverick).

In trucks: # 516 – Paulo Fiúza (MAN) – navigator Alberto Herreno and # 529 – José Martins (DAF).
