THE Coimbra Football Association (AFC) has just announced a change to the model of its main competition, the men's football honor division.
After consulting the clubs, the championship will be played only one round (17 rounds) in the 1st stage, according to the top six for a two-round champion qualification in an all-against-all system.
The race will resume on January 10 with the first round, which had been postponed. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th days have already been held, remember, and will be counted. The race continues on January 17th with the 5th round.

“The renewal of the State of Emergency determined by the Decree of the President of the Republic, No. 59-A / 2020, of November 20, 2020, and Decree No. 9/2020 of November 21, 2020, obliged the Association of Futebol de Coimbra concluding the impossibility of concluding the District Championship of the Honor Division, male seniors, along the lines in which they had been projected for the 2020/2021 season.
In this sense, on the 26th of November 2020, the clubs participating in the competition were asked to comment – by December 3, at 6 pm – which of the six competitive models sent (A, B, C, D, E, F ) thought they were the most suitable for the conclusion of the present era.
The competitive model that received the most support from clubs was model C. ”
