In a General Assembly (AG) held in the late Monday afternoon, the Football Association of Coimbra (AFC) approved the budget and activity plan, with several measures to support clubs in an attempt to recover from the pandemic.
According to a press release, “during the session, the chairman of the AFC GA, Armando Braga da Cruz, praised the performance of the leadership led by Horácio Antunes, in the context of covid-19, having proposed a minute of silence for the victims of the pandemic, what was accomplished by all those present ”.
AFC's president, Horácio Antunes, then presented the Plan of Activities and Budget considering that it “is very realistic and based on the experience acquired through the experience of many difficulties that we managed to overcome over the past season”.
According to the director, the AFC “continues the effort to recover from the delays and to bring our accounts up to date, despite the fact that there are still many clubs with late payments, also due to economic difficulties”.
The association will support the clubs, because, explained Horácio Antunes, “we realized that by ending the competitions earlier, everyone lost revenues that were the basis for sustaining the activity”.
