THE Portuguese Judo Federation (FPJ) is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The celebrations are scheduled for December 7, in Coimbra, with activities divided between the Hotel D. Luís it's the St. Francis Convent, said the press release of the FPJ sent to DIARY AS BEIRAS.
Although the official anniversary date is October 28, coinciding with World Judo Day, the FPJ has decided to mark the 60-year-old milestone with various activities culminating in a special ceremony scheduled for December 7.
The day begins with an informal lunch at the Hotel D. Luís, where, afterwards, several actions are held, such as the inauguration of the plaque referring to the 60th anniversary and the presentations of the commemorative medal and the book “The 60 Years of the FPJ” .
From 19H00, the Convent of S. Francisco hosts the Anniversary Gala, where the 60th anniversary film of the FPJ is presented and screened.
Dinner is accompanied by small interventions, musical animation, annual awards and distinctions, among other activities.
