Portugal knows today the opponents of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship that will take place in Slovenia and Hungary. The draw that takes place in Nyon, Switzerland, at UEFA headquarters at 2 pm (mainland Portugal time) will dictate the pairing of the groups.
The 16 finalist teams were divided into 4 pots, according to their position in the UEFA team coefficient ranking. Portugal is in pot 2 and will avoid opponents such as Italy, Denmark and the Netherlands (selection that was in Portugal's qualifying group). The first two classified teams pass to the next stage.
The draw will not be able to count on the representatives of the various teams due to the pandemic moment in which we live.
The group stage games are scheduled for March between the 24th and 31st of that month, with the phase to be eliminated (from the quarter finals) only taking place between the 31st of May and the 6th of June.
