Students at the University of Coimbra will automatically become members of the Academic, following a protocol signed today between the parties.
The protocol, signed between the director-general of the Academic Association of Coimbra (DG / AAC), which represents the students, and the AAC / Autonomous Football Organization (OAF), a football club that plays in the Second League, provides for the creation of a specific member status for UC students was announced today at a ceremony held at the University of Coimbra.
The renewal of the Integration Protocol between the two entities, created more than 35 years ago, now provides that all members of the Academic Association of Coimbra can automatically become members of the AAC / OAF.
The status will be different from that of the other members of the football club and will have to be approved by the AAC / OAF General Assembly.
These new members will have limited rights, being prevented from voting and participating in the general meetings of Briosa, said the president of the student association, João Assunção.
