Docapesca launched a new public tender for the rehabilitation of the south pier bridge of the fishing port of Baleeira, located in Sagres, with the base price of 1 million and 84 thousand and 270 euros, «because no proposals were submitted in the previous tender . This intervention will restore all the safety conditions of fishing professionals and vessels operating in this port », according to the entity.
The intervention in this infrastructure, built about 40 years ago, contemplates the complete replacement of the superstructure (board) and the rehabilitation of tubulões. The quay bridge will be equipped with all the equipment essential for operation and safety: bollards, rings, stairs, multipurpose modules, new lampposts and new water and electricity distribution networks.
New vertical fenders will also be installed, adapted to the variation of the tide and fixed to the new headers of the tubulões.
The installation of LED public lighting is underway in this port in order to improve energy efficiency, involving the assembly of 56 luminaires that will reduce the installed power by 60 percent. The works include the replacement of 42 globe-type luminaires and 14 projectors for the 20-meter lighting towers.
