EB1 and preschool in Santo Estêvão opened renewed

Twenty pre-school students and 23 students from the 1st cycle of Santo Estêvão, in the municipality of Tavira, inaugurated today, Monday, a school requalified after the period of confinement, the municipality revealed.

This intervention resulted in an investment of 627,928.21 euros, to which was added the amount of 24,520 euros for furniture and teaching material.

“When advancing with this endeavor, it was the municipality's intention to provide this establishment with adequate conditions that respond to the demands of the new pedagogical practices and the physical and intellectual comfort of students and teachers”, points out the executive.

The contract included maintenance, conservation, reformulation and functional reorganization of the old school building, in the following areas: a pre-school room, a reading room also for this level of education, two classrooms of the 1st cycle , two offices for teachers, cafeteria, pantry, library, sanitary facilities and space for recreation.
