The Ecofest 2019 will take place in the Ria Formosa Natural Park in Pinheiros de Marim, Olhão, on June 1st and 2nd, celebrating the environmental, cultural and musical heritage.
The program includes several initiatives in contact with nature, offers, during the first weekend of June, activities for all tastes and audiences.
"This is a festival that promotes harmonious contact with nature and culture, with a varied artistic and environmental program, ranging from children's music to tango and fado, to magic, walking, bird watching or chameleons , liberation of birds, dances of the World, stories or poetry, "says the organization.
The first day of Ecofest, June 1, begins with magic and stories by Angel Deval in Nora, starting at 10:00 am, followed by the performance of João Violão, with music for children, which also 15:00, at the Picnic Stage.
In the RIAS, bird feeders will be built during the morning, at 2:00 pm there will be a children's activity entitled "The Mysteries of Feathers" and at night chameleons will be observed.
In the Merenda Park, «There is a Museum in the Park» from 12:00 and the Tide Mill receives Two to Tango – Tribute to Astor Piazolla at 12:00 and 16:00. At the Palco de Merendas, from 17:00, there will be world music with the Trio Kiloco.
On the second day of the Ecofest, June 2, between 9:00 and 11:00 there will be bird watching in the RIAS and then (11:00), Nora will receive the "History of the Ecological Ladybird" by Casa João Pike. At 12:00 pm, at the Palais de Merendas, "There is a Museum in the Park" (for families) and in the Windmill the poetry and electronic music arrive with the Kilavra.
The afternoon begins with events dedicated to the little ones who, in the RIAS, will know if "There are Chameleons on the Farm?", While at the Angel Deval Merlot Stage presents magic and stories, both at 14:00.
In this same stage, at 3:00 p.m., traditional music arrives with the Fole'Percussion, the fadista Sara Gonçalves performs at the Moinho de Maré at 4:00 p.m. and at 5:00 p.m. the animation returns to the Palco de Merendas with dances of the world, for Laurent Geoffroy.
In addition to these initiatives by appointment, every day there will be the Ecofest Market (Merenda Park), Catx (environmental music in the Windmill of Maré), donkey rides (Nora) and animals will be released in the RIAS.
Facial paintings, children's animation or digital caricatures will also be part of this weekend that celebrates the environment in the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
This initiative counts on the collaboration of the Natural Park of Ria Formosa, Institute of Nature Conservation and Forests and parish councils of Olhão and Quelfes, among other entities.
