According to the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Activities in the euro zone, economic sentiment fell by 0.7 points to 105.5 and in the EU contracted by 0.4 points to 105.0.

Considering the five largest economies in the euro zone, economic sentiment grew strongly in Spain (2.3 points) and slightly in France (0.2), falling in Germany (1.8), the Netherlands (1.3) and in Italy (0.2 points).

The indicator also advanced in the two largest economies outside the euro zone: 1.6 points in the UK and 0.4 in Poland.
