Edgar Davids debuts at Olhanense with a goalless draw in Évora and ends up expelled

Olhanense's new coach, Edgar Davids, debuted today with a goalless draw at Lusitano SAD, in Évora, allowing the leader Vitória de Setúbal to increase the distance in Serie H of the Portuguese Football Championship.

In the 11th game (closing of the first round), the Olhão team dominated, especially in the second part, in which they pushed the locals to their big area, but failed to unlock the null before the people from Évora.

After the end of the match, the spirits were heated and the referee expelled Edgar Davids.

“There was a sururu caused by the Lusitano coach [José Bizarro]. Nothing happened, ”explained Luís Torres, president of Olhanense SAD, speaking to radio DianaFM.

Olhanense continues in 4th place, with 14 points, 12 less than Vitória de Setúbal, who today thrashed Aljustrelense 5-1. However, the Algarve has two games behind, one of them to be played this Wednesday, in Lagos.

The other teams from the Algarve have seen their matches from round 11 postponed. Moncarapachense (8th place) plays on January 27 at Amora and Louletano (2nd) receives Juventude de Évora on March 10. Esperança de Lagos played well in this round.

In the next round, within a week, the Algarve teams will face the following matches: Louletano-Moncarapachense and Amora-Esp. Lagos. Olhanense is off.
