With the work at the São Luís Stadium still to be completed, Farense will use the Algarve Stadium for at least one game as visited at the time that marks the return to the 1st Football League, after 18 years of absence.
According to a SAD source, the reception for Nacional, scheduled for September 27 (3:30 pm), is guaranteed in the enclosure located in Parque das Cidades.
The game will be, it is already known, behind closed doors, since the Directorate-General for Health has not yet authorized the access of football fans to the stadiums.
Depending on the progress of the works on its own premises, Farense may also use the Algarve Stadium for the matchday 4 game, against Famalicão (on the weekend of 17 and 18 October).
Interventions in the lighting system, in the accesses, in the changing rooms and in the construction of new bathrooms are some of the works in question at São Luís, which also has a new “carpet” that is practically operational.
Farense will debut in the 1st Football League next Sunday, 20, with a visit to Moreirense (18:30). The 1st round of the event also includes a Portimonense-Paços de Ferreira, on Monday, 21st.
