The social network introduces a tab dedicated to gaming, embedded directly into the main browser of the Facebook application.
From now you can access a new area dedicated to video games the mobile application of Facebook. The Facebook Gaming tab aims to make it easier to find games, streams and groups of gamers that users follow, as well as finding new content related to video games based on the user's own interests.
According to the Facebook note of the head of gaming, Vijaye Raji, every month the social network registers 700 million users to play, watch video games or interact with groups of games on Facebook. The numbers include clear, games like Candy Crush and Farmville that have always been a hit on the social network.
This new tab will filter all content related to gaming, from access to content creators or take notice of a group that is being organized to capture a rare Pokémon.
In the statement, it is said that initially only a portion of the gaming consumers will have access to the functionality, but this will be expanded over time. This option may not be automatically available to anyone who does not frequently interact with Facebook gaming content, and in that sense you should opt for the shortcut menu tab in the Facebook application.
Surprises for videogame fans do not stop here, with the social network saying that the exclusive application dedicated to Facebook Gaming continues in beta tests. This introduces even more features that are not available on the Facebook tab.
