Fanã, an associate of Paco Fortes no Farense, is returning to the emblem of the Algarve capital, two decades later, to guide team B and coordinate youth football, the club announced today.
"SC Farense announces that he has reached agreement as technical coordinator of the training football of the competition levels, which will cumulatively play the role of coach of the new Farense B team, with our well-known Fernando Pires, Fanã", revealed the emblem in your official Facebook page.
The 58-year-old Algarvian coach, Manuel Balela's younger brother, now the sports director of Farense, became known as the "right-hander" of Spanish Paco Fortes since 1989.
Fernando Pires left in 1999 to start his career as head coach in Louletano and since then he has also been coaching Olhanense, Ovarense, Gondomar and Sporting Covilhã, while abroad he made a career in the Middle East.
"We hope that this return 21 years later to your heart club will be full of personal and professional success," says Farense.
