Farense won today their first away victory in the First Football League, beating Nacional 3-2, in a game of the 19th round of the competition, marked by a second half of "crazy", with five goals.
The first half was even, but Farense went into the interval with more possession, often lacking some intelligence in the last third of the field to create more opportunities.
The Nacional created danger in shots from outside the area, namely by Vincent Thill (14) and Azouni (30), but the best opportunity of the first half belonged to Madi Queta, who isolated by Gauld, with everything to score, shot wide defense of Piscitelli (42).
Farense came from the dressing rooms thirsty to score and the goal would come after five very strong minutes: Licá shot to Piscitelli's defense (50), Pedrão almost scored in his own goal by deflecting the ball from a corner to the post (51) and , to the fifth consecutive corner, the Algarves opened the scoring, with a header from André Pinto (51).
Nacional tried to respond, but Defendi flew into great defense after Vincent Thill's free-kick (57), before the Algarves extended the advantage, by Ryan Gauld, after good play and assistance from Madi Queta (63).
Joao Vigário reduced distances shortly after, at 68, with a powerful “shot” from outside the area, and gave confidence to Nacional to reinforce the pressure on the Algarves, who in the counterattack wasted the third, in a great defense of Piscitelli the shot of Queta (78).
Nacional drew at 83, with a goal from Pedro Mendes, who went from hero to villain in three minutes, deflecting a free kick, with bad luck, to the own goal and to the 3-2 that the Algarve held until the final whistle.
Farense, who with this triumph – Jorge Costa's first in charge of the technical team – jumped to 15th place, with 16 points, brought the I Liga's calendar up to date on Wednesday at 21:45, with the trip to Guimarães that was delayed, before receiving Benfica on Sunday.
