Farense was defeated today in the reception to Moreirense (1-2), in a game of the 18th round of the First League of Football in which they proved to be more ineffective in the face of an opponent who took advantage of the Algarve mistakes.
After a good initial period, with Mansilla and Ryan Gauld close to the goal, the outsiders came to the advantage following a loss of ball by Cláudio Falcão, in a counter attack by Yan Matheus (28 minutes).
In the second half, with Farense 'charging' in search of a draw, Moreirense scored again, this time by Rafael Martins, from a penalty, punishing Tomás Tavares' ball (79).
The Algarves maintained the pressure and still reduced, by Pedro Henrique (90 + 3), but the final "forcing" did not reach the tie.
The Algarve team – who have conceded goals in all of their 17 league games – have managed only one point out of six possible in two consecutive meetings at São Luís, maintaining the 18th and last place of the table, with 13 points.
In the next round, Farense travels to the Nacional grounds, in a game scheduled for Saturday, 13, at 15:30 hours.
