Farense, the leaders of the II Liga, today suffered the second home defeat of the season, against Benfica B, 2-0, in the match of the 15th round of the competition, marked by the 'bis' of the Algarve Gonçalo Ramos.
Having already lost at FC São Paulo's São Luís Stadium, Faro's team continued their fate against the other II Liga B team in a match where they can complain of the offensive ineffectiveness, wasting several clear opportunities.
Gonçalo Ramos, son of Manuel Ramos, former Farense player, put the 'incarnados' in the early minute and increased the score after 23 minutes, after Daniel dos Anjos's move.
Farense had a clear upside in the game over a long period, but the best chances were denied by Svilar (33, 37 and 52) and Fabrício Simões's heel shot to the bar. (53).
The pace of Farense eventually faded and Benfica B, who had not won for more than two months, was controlling until the end of the match, reaching the third goal, by Rodrigo Conceição (84).
Farense remains in 1st place in the II Liga, with 33 points, two more than Nacional. In the next round, Sérgio Vieira's team will visit Penafiel's ground, scheduled for Sunday, 12, at 11:15 (SportTV).
