Farense broke today a positive cycle of four games to score, by losing on the trip to Rio Ave (2-0), in Vila do Conde, in a game of the 22nd round of the First League of football.
Despite the balance in possession, Farense "blamed" the many absences for this match, namely, in offensive terms, Ryan Gauld, his most influential player.
Rio Ave came to the advantage on 27 minutes, in a penalty by Pelé, punishing Hugo Marques's lack over Carlos Mané.
It was with a set ball that the Algarve created their best opportunity: following a corner, Eduardo Mancha headed over the crossbar with danger (39).
In the second half, the outlook for the match did not change much. Not even the changes in the Algarve team brought improvements and Rio Ave ended up reaching the second goal, by Rafael Camacho (70).
The Faro team, which remains in 15th place, with 19 points, will receive Belenenses SAD next Saturday, 13, at 3:30 pm.
