The City Hall of Faro will sign tomorrow, Thursday, 6, a partnership agreement with the Champs Academy, which aims to socially integrate, through sport, vulnerable children and young people.
According to the municipality, children and young people living in the municipality of Faro, aged between 5 and 18, at risk or socially vulnerable, will be targeted by the project commissioned by the Commission for the Protection of Children and Young People, the Casa Santa Isabel, and other entities that may be defined, to the Department of Social Development and Education of the municipality.
With the signing of this agreement, the municipality becomes one of the nuclei of the Champs Academy, whose social object is to support children and young people in social integration through sport, through the temporary or permanent monitoring of children in vulnerable situations social, as well as their physical, intellectual and emotional needs through sports education.
The Champs Academy functions as a regular tennis school, where there are regular classes – with teachers accredited by the Portuguese Tennis Federation (FPT) – and several internal tournaments.
The municipality of Faro will support the Academy by awarding an annual value of 3,500 euros.
The event takes place at 18:00 hours, in the tennis courts located in the urbanization Horta dos Fumeiros, where regular tennis lessons take place.
