The flames, which burn in Vacariça, in an area of pine and eucalyptus, about five kilometers from the village of Luso, started at about 8.30.
In total, according to ANPC, 276 elements are on the ground, supported by 74 vehicles, plus 11 air assets.
Aveiro District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) source told the Lusa agency that the fire is very intense and that the means are being reinforced.
National Highway 336, which was cut off in Vacariça, Mealhada, due to a fire, reopened to traffic at about 11.40, the same source said.
According to the same source, the National Road 235 was banned from traffic, which, however, has also reopened.
