Nearly four dozen official posters alluding to the "Carnation Revolution" will be visible by the end of the month in the exhibition hall of the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) in Faro.
Promoted by the 25 de Abril Association and integrated in the commemorations of the 45th anniversary of the 25th of April celebrations in the Algarve, the exhibition «Posters of 25 de Abril» contains posters by João Abel Manta and Vespeira, icons of the revolution, and some of the many which are made every year, a little throughout the country, at the time of the date celebrations.
The emblematic poster of the boy putting a nail in the shotgun is part of the exhibition, along with others from the MFA (Movement Armed Forces), as well as clippings from the press of the time.
During this exhibition, which aims to recall one of the most important events in the history of Portugal, will be shown in parallel a film alluding to April 25.
At the same time, an exhibition of the work of the sculptor Hermínio Pinto da Silva, presented as a contemporary approach "of the human being" is available.
The two exhibitions will be open to the public until April 30, with free admission, from Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
