The new Castro Marim City Council executive, who continues to be led by Francisco Amaral and was elected following the midterm elections on June 2, is taking office this Tuesday.
The social-democratic mayor re-won, in the electoral act provoked by his resignation, the absolute majority that had lost in 2017.
The PSD / CDS-PP coalition obtained 1953 votes (59.82%) and elected three mandates, one more than in 2017, against the 1125 votes of the PS (34.46%), whose list was led by Célia Brito, who they will be entitled to the same two terms they already held.
Besides the president, Francisco Amaral, were elected to the executive Filomena Sintra and Vítor Rosa, by PSD / CDS-PP, and Célia Brito and Vera Martins (PS).
