Frederico Morais returns to contest stage of the world surfing circuit

Frederico Morais will play for Margaret River, the fourth stage of the world surfing circuit in Australia, occupying one of the places left vacant by Adriano de Souza and Mikey Wright.

Federico Morais, a substitute after two years among the elite, will return to the circuit, along with Brazilian Caio Ibelli, to the places of Adriano de Souza and Mikey Wright, who will miss the competition, to play between Wednesday and 09 June.

According to the alignment of the Australian event, announced by the world circuit, 'Kikas' will compete in the fourth heat, against Brazilian Ítalo Ferreira, third in the world ranking, and Frenchman Joan Duru, 26th.

Hawaiian John John Florence, world championship leader and world champion in 2016 and 2017, will debut in the competition against American 11-time winner Kelly Slater and Brazilian Jadson André in the first heat while the Japanese Kanoa Igarashi, second in the world, will face the Brazilian Yago Dora and the Australian Soli Bailey.

Italo Ferreira and John John Florence won the first two Australian stages of the 2019 circuit on the Gold Coast and Bells Beach, respectively, while Kanoa Igarashi won the Bali event.

'Kikas' currently occupies the 23rd position of the world qualifying circuit, which gives access to the principal, which was 14th in 2017 and 23rd in 2018.
