The Faro municipal executive unanimously ratified the inclusion of social security brackets 2, 3 and 4 in bracket A of social security for underprivileged students in the 1st cycle at the Chamber meeting on Monday, 1 feeding.
“Given the existence of needy families residing in the municipality, the municipality considered it fundamental to extend food support to children from these households, allowing free access to school meals to all beneficiaries of social support, during the period of closure of the establishments of teaching ”, says the municipality.
These meals are served on a take-away basis, in disposable individual doses, to needy students in levels A and B of pre-school and 1st cycle.
Food purchase vouchers were also distributed to students in levels A and B of pre-school and 1st cycle, in the amount of 30 euros (six individual vouchers of 5 euros), which will be distributed by the School Groups, in the respective headquarters schools.
“The autarchy, led by Rogério Bacalhau, who holds the Education portfolio, reinforces its role in supporting families at a time of proliferation of cases of contagion Covid19, which requires the application of extraordinary and urgent measures”, points out the executive.
