The 8th edition of the Festival Pé na Terra will take place from 13 to 16 June in Fuseta, in the municipality of Olhão, aiming to "honor, enhance and value artistic work and expression in the feminine."
In this edition, the cultural program counts on artists like Mart'nália, Sopa de Pedra, Samba Que Ela Querem, Tati Veras, Roberta Espinosa, Negras Autoras, Fado Virasse Samba, Nosso Som and Nazaré Pereira, among many others.
The event took place in 2012, in the Algarve village, with the aim of promoting the visibility of the cultural contents of Portuguese-speaking countries, creating an exchange between participants from different countries and the local community, with groups and artists from Portugal, Africa and Brazil.
"Pé na Terra is a stimulus to the experimentation of creative languages and processes in the fields of music and dance, which aims to foster production, enjoyment and cultural exchange, while broadening the public's perception of the diversity between various cultures present, "says the organization.
In the 8th edition, the theme will be the planet Venus, symbol of love and femininity. In order to "honor, enhance and value artistic work and expression in the feminine," the participants will be invited to reflect on the theme and to appreciate the various works of great women.
Foot on Earth welcomes audiences from more than 20 countries, including Greece, Norway, Russia, England, France, Spain, Belgium, Mozambique, Angola, Brazil, Portugal, among many others.
Recognizing "the remarkable importance of the cultural exchange and economic advantages that the festival brings to Fuseta", the musical performances are open to the locals.
