Beat Fest, "the only national hip hop festival" sponsored by the Câmara de Gavião in the Portalegre district, and an event company, will take place on Comenda's river beach.
According to the organization, the festival "promises to celebrate the best of hip-hop in Portuguese" with a "fortissimo" poster, which "ensures the presence of some of the most acclaimed artists and dj" of this musical genre.
The festival will include concerts by Russian, Amaro, Bone, Papillon and Boss AC on Thursday, Chong Kwong, Malabá, Domi and Wet Bed Gang on Friday, MAC, NGA, Plutonio and Gabriel The Thinker on Saturday and Grilocks, Deau, Ditches and Dealema on Sunday.
After the concerts, there will be early morning DJ sessions with Sims, Glue, Big and Guze.
The first edition of Beat Fest took place last year and featured performances by Piruka, Slow J, World Second & Sam The Kid, Eva Rap Diva, Grognation and Mishlawi, among others.
According to the organization, the fact that "there is no festival" in Portugal dedicated to hip-hop, a musical style "much appreciated by the youth", led Câmara de Gavião and an event company to hold the Beat Fest.
