Brazilian singer Gal Costa will return to Portugal in April 2020 for three unforgettable concerts, featuring the album «A Pele do Futuro» in Porto, Faro and Lisbon.
The shows are scheduled for April 7 at Casa da Música, in Porto; April 9th at the Teatro das Figuras in Faro; and April 11 at the Tivoli BBVA in Lisbon.
In the script of the concert, there are some successes from Gal, from the beginning of his career in Tropicália until the last album with songs by renowned composers like Gilberto Gil, Jorge Mautner, Djavan, Erasmo Carlos and Guilherme Arantes, but also with the participation of a new generation. pop, such as country musician Marília Mendonça, rapper Emicida and singer Silva.
"The Skin of the Future" has its title inspired by a song by Gilberto Gil and his choice shows Gal Costa's revolt "against the dark times we are living, of war, where people bar the borders."
The show was conceived in three acts: the first with songs written in the period of the military coup (1960s and 1970s), the second brings songs of love and love and the third develops in search of dance themes.
Gal Costa comes to Portugal accompanied by Pedro Santos (guitar), Hugo Hori (saxophone), Rafael Franco (keyboards), Fabio Sameshima (bass) and Thomas Harres (drums).
