Cristóvão Campos, Rui Melo and Tomás Alves complete the cast of "actors who are also musicians" and accompany the artists Giordanno Barbieri and Mariana Rosa with musical performances throughout a show with "a lot of rhythm and movement", explains the director of production of the Teatro Aberto, Célia Caeiro.
"This show is a very contemporary, daring and innovative piece, written in an unusual language and poetic graphic spot," Célia Caeiro told Lusa.
João Lourenço, the stage director and author, is challenged by Dea Loher to "be creative" in a production that "deeply questions the public about society and the youth of today", he adds.
Célia Caeiro admits that "theater has a social role and must communicate with the public", and therefore, "Open Theater always interested in feeling the pulse of today's society", always in an attempt to "surprise the viewer."
"Golpada" is on stage until July 28, in the Red Room of the Open Theater, and ticket prices range from 8.50 euros to 17 euros.
