It's a feature that will integrate Google's Arts & Culture app. The first experience will feature works by artist Johannes Vermeer.
Google has introduced a new feature in the Arts & Culture app that turns any room into a museum. Thanks to augmented reality feature, users can design the pictures on the walls and view them through their smartphone.
The first experiment will feature eight paintings by Johannes Vermeer. According to Google, there are no images of these frames with higher resolution.
Note that in use, you can also ask for a tour of the paintings, which has a contextual commentary and additional information to the exhibition.
The feature is available for Android and iOS, but the device will need to integrate support for ARCore (for Androids) and ARKit (for iPhones).
