In September, Google Portugal and the Government signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at economic recovery and accelerating the digital transition, in which digital skills and employability are the main areas foreseen in the document.

Among the commitments assumed was the objective of "training 32,000 Portuguese in digital skills [até final do ano], that is 10,000 more than in 2019 ", according to the statement at the time.
