The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development announced today in a statement that it has paid 97.2 million euros to farmers through the IFAP – Agriculture and Fisheries Financing Institute.
According to that statement, EUR 32.6 million were paid to farmers under the new vineyard scheme through the EAGF – European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, plus EUR 4.2 million for the basic payment scheme and € 1.5 million under the umbrella of measure 2 of POSEI Madeira – Program of Specific Options for Removal and Insularity in the Outermost Regions (RUP.
Through the EAFRD – European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (RDP) – Rural Development Program, € 24.1 million were paid for investment projects, € 8.5 million for agri-environmental measures and € 6.5 million for afforestation of Agricultural Land.
Under the PRORURAL +, Development Program of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, the Ministry of Agriculture paid 1.4 million euros for investment projects.
Under the PRODERAM 2020 Development Program of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, € 6.3 million were paid for investment projects and € 5.9 million for the maintenance of agricultural activity in disadvantaged areas.
