The Government meets on Saturday, from 11:00 p.m., to discuss the State Budget proposal for 2019, a document that will be delivered to the parliament on Monday, the official Lusa source said Monday.
Last Tuesday, under the opposition statute, Finance Minister Mário Centeno welcomed the parties with parliamentary representation and communicated to them the macroeconomic scenario envisaged by the government for next year.
The State Budget Government's proposal foresees in 2019 a growth of 2.2%, a deficit of 0.2%, unemployment of 6.3% and a reduction of the public debt to 117% of the Gross Domestic Product.
In the Assembly of the Republic, the Government's budget proposal will be discussed and voted generally on the next days 29 and 30. The final global vote is scheduled for November 29.
