"Water", a new sound creation of the Portuguese singer Mariana Root and the Chilean multi-instrumentalist Nacho Rodriguez, will be presented at the Hermitage of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Vila do Bispo, next Sunday, 14 at 5:30 p.m.
"Mariana's voice, accompanied by her expression and charisma, gives life to the song that reminds us that we are water. A dive to our intimate in a meeting so close as this, in which the sound of each instrument is recognized and the present of the moment is lived ", says the regional direction of Culture of the Algarve.
Nacho Rodriguez comes for the first time to Portugal, playing instruments as rich as kora (harp africana), tabla and mbiras, at the rhythms that move the waters of the disc.
Expressing herself mostly in Portuguese, Mariana also sings in the indigenous languages of South America, where "Água" began to be produced.
The Hermitage of Our Lady of Guadalupe is still recognized by many as the place where, in times, one would ask for the "blessing of water".
The musical show has free entrance, with a conscious donation.
