The fastest sailboat in the Atlantis Cup 2019 fleet, in the second race, the “Hexentric”, completed the connection between Ponta Delgada and Angra do Heroísmo at 2:37 pm.
“Hexentric” continues to lead the ORC class rankings, followed by the sailboats “Gustave”, “Celtic Dream”, “Twisted”, “Rift” and “Air Mail”.
The second to cut the finish line of the race that linked the islands of São Miguel and Terceira, mounted in Angra do Heroísmo, was the “Soraya”. This was followed by the 'Phileas Fogg III', 'Rift', 'South' and 'Air Mail' vessels.
The crews that make up the Atlantis Cup 2019, Autonomy Regatta, will have a few days to enjoy the island Third, returning to the sea on July 3, for the third and final race of the race.
The fleet will face 70 nautical miles to the town of Horta, on Faial Island.
The 2019 edition of the Autonomy Regatta has a total of 217 nautical miles, linking the islands of Santa Maria, São Miguel, Terceira and Faial.
