There was not much to learn about the new top-of-the-range Huawei that was officially unveiled today in Paris. The Huawei P30 is an evolution of the previous generation but brings novelties, focused on photography.
Huawei has reserved for Paris the presentation of its new top-of-the-line, the P30, which renews the line of the P series and succeeds the P20, presented last year also in the city of lights. After announcing the foldable smartphone in MWC19, with Mate X, the Chinese brand takes a new step in the path of the mobile market leadership strategy it has set as its goal.
"We are leading connectivity technologies, and connecting people," said Richard Yu, recalling the company's history in the areas of mobile networks but also the development of artificial intelligence and applications.
The head of the mobile business says the P30 rewrites the rules of photography, the phrase that is the motto for the new smartphone. With a small body, a notch reduced, and a screen of 6.1 inches or 6.47 inches, the screen is larger but allows a more compact and lightweight format with 165 and 192 grams, respectively.
In the P30 Pro version the OLED screen is curved and is guaranteed against water and dust with the IP68.
As has happened before, the P20 inherits the use of the Kirin 980 processor, while also maintaining the biometric sensor on the screen, now 30% faster. But it adds above all capacity in photography, with a four-chamber system in the back of the Pro version.
Another of the changes is in the 40 MP camera, with 40% more light captured. Huawei calls it SuperSensing camera and is integrated in the P30 and P30 Pro versions.
The super zoom has been used as anticipation because the triple main alignment will maintain some of last year's settings – the 40 MP wide angel sensor with f / 1.6 focal aperture, a 16 MP camera with wide angle and aperture of f / 2.2 and still the chamber of 8 MP, with aperture of f / 3,4 and distance equivalent to 80 mm.
The photographs published in various leaks also showed the range of colors available, introducing red to black, sea blue and sky blue, with effects of multicolored gradients, which are confirmed in the various models of the P30 line.
Inside the "normal" version there is a battery of 3,650 mAH, while the larger version has 4,200 mAh of capacity, with rapid loading at 40 W, by cable, but also charging wireless at 15 W.
The pre-sales campaign starts today until April 4. The Huawei P30 Pro of 256 GB I know more expensive and costs 1,045 euros. The P30 Pro of 128 GB is priced at 950 euros. The cheapest is the P30 which costs 800 euros.
