Ibrahim Ferrer Jr. brings Havana for one night, the Lagoon

It will be on September 18, at 9:30 pm, that the Sítio das Fontes municipal park, in Estômbar, hosts the show “A Night In Havana” by the one who is considered the heir to the Buena Vista Social Club, Ibrahim Ferrer Jr.

The son of Cuban star Ibrahim Ferrer, singer and former director of the Buena Vista Social Club, has toured Europe and Latin America several times, has four albums, one of which won the Carlos Gardel award for “best new artist album”.

«With a career in the music industry for almost twenty years, he positioned himself as the new representative of traditional Cuban classical genres by proposing a new look, merging with Latin jazz, with its African roots, and Latin genres such as bossa nova or tango », classifies the Lagoense autarchy. The Cuban singer appears on this occasion with an intimate and romantic concert, where he will interpret traditional themes and the great successes of Cuban music with a different musicality from traditional fusions and other contemporary genres.

With three dates only in Portugal, this show will be the only one in the south of the country.

Tickets cost € 8 (20% discount upon presentation of the Cultural Passport or Lagoa Social Card) and can be purchased in a timely manner at the Centro Cultural Convento de S. José from Monday to Friday between 10 am and 1 pm and between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm, Fnac, Worten, online and also on the day and place of the event from 8:00 pm.

The shows are held in compliance with all safety and hygiene standards, in outdoor spaces, even if delimited, according to the rules of the DGS and contingency plans created for this purpose.
