The fourth edition – the first two were held in Oeiras and the third last year in Lisbon – the Imminent festival goes from three to four days of programming and this is, according to the festival director, Tiago Silva, “ biggest highlight ”this year.
From the poster, which includes one hundred artists, visual and performing arts and music, from 11 nationalities, Tiago Silva, speaking to Lusa, highlighted “the diversity that was present in the curatorship”, the responsibility of Vhils and the Underdogs platform, and which in the song had the collaboration of Shaka Lion. “We can achieve all kinds of styles,” he said.
During the four days, the following visual artists will be present at the festival: Guinean Abdel Queta Tavares, Luso-Angolan Francisco Vidal, Luso-santomense Herberto Smith, Brazilians Sosek, Kaur, Coxas and Thiago Neves, and Portuguese Aka Corleone, Ana Aragão, Blac Dwelle, Collective Street, Gonçalo Barreiros, Imaginary Maria, Rita RA, Sara Morais, Tamara Alves, Thunders Crew, Miguel Januário (with the project ± plusmines ±) and Vhils.
The musical programming includes performances by, among many others: the North American Common, the Cape Verdeans Bulimundo and Mayra Andrade, the Brazilian Linn da Quebrada, the Portuguese Dealema, Pedro Mafama, Classe Crua (project that joins Sam the Kid and Beware Jack), Beatbombers (DJ Ride and Stereosaurus), David Bruno, Deau, Fado Bicha, Mother Son, Fred, Mynda Guevara, Kappa Jotta, Omiri, Scúru Fitchadu and Vado Más Ki Ace.
On the poster turns out to be “a little imminent”: “already established artists, but with new projects, established artists who never played in Portugal, like Common, and artists who never even played [ao vivo]" "That's a little bit our philosophy," he said.
