“For five days, from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th September, young people will show their short films and watch the magnificent lectures given by great figures from the film industry who present their films in San Sebastián”, can be read in the organization's statement.
The event in the Basque Country adds that “the short films of the younger section of the festival cross the contemporary concerns of filmmakers from around the world and address stories of identity, love, work, future, desire, violence and existential doubts”.
“If we had to highlight a trend that runs through several productions of this issue of Nest, we could sum it up in one word: family. Their presence, their absence, the new models of home, the future of this kind of relationship and the intimacy of these bonds have spilled many of the short films, ”adds the organization.
Tomás Paula Marques' film will compete with productions from countries such as Russia, France, Japan, China, Chile, Germany, Ecuador, Argentina, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain and the United States.
The San Sebastián Film Festival will be held in that coastal city from September 20-28 this year.
