Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira will start from 15th place on the grid for the Grand Prix of Emilia Romana and Riviera de Rimini, the seventh race of the MotoGP World Championship, which will take place tomorrow at the San Marino circuit.
Miguel Oliveira, Tech3 rider, KTM satellite team, had a busy Saturday when he suffered two falls, fortunately without any physical problems, which he said were due to the cold tires. Oliveira initialed 1.31.841 on his best lap, half a second faster than last week at the same circuit, where the San Marino GP took place, proof that the Portuguese driver finished in 11th position.
“After the crashes this morning, we left for FP4 [quarta sessão de treinos livres] in order to gain a little more confidence. We achieved a good pace. In qualifying, I improved my lap time, but it was not enough to move to Q2. We lacked speed, we lacked all the sectors in the fast lap. In the race it will be the attack from start to finish ” said Miguel Oliveira.
The Almada rider was 764 milliseconds from Maverick Viñales, Spanish Yamaha rider who will start from pole position.
