On the first weekend that Portimonenses have to stay at home due to the compulsory confinement resulting from the fight against Covid-19, there are musical proposals, by artists from the land, for two afternoons spent at home, watching online, always from 5 pm, to concerts previously recorded at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão.
The project “Portimão, Dá-te Palco”, promoted by the city council to support local artists, starts this Saturday, November 21, with the participation of the groups Ally Jazz'n Soul (jazz), Paulo Luz Trio (jazz) and Banda Atlântica (Afro / Angolan sounds), curated by Bar Marginália.
On Sunday, the 22nd, Rosa Martins, José Rodrigues, Korin and José & Vítor Guerreiro will perform, interpreting themes of light music, some of them original, curated by music producer Luís Loução.
The municipality emphasizes that «this project intends to literally give stage to more than 20 local artists or bands, who will be invited to take the stage in one of the TEMPO show rooms», being broadcast on the weekends of 21 and 22, and 28 and 29 of November, as well as on the weekend of 5 and 6 of December and on the 12 of this last month.
All performances, without an audience, can be seen on the social networks of the municipality of Portimão, which for this purpose has established curatorial partners with cultural agents and promoters of shows in the city, in the sense that in the seven days of planned concerts, as many as shows, each with different musical genres in charge of local bands and artists, under the curatorship of the invited cultural agent.
