The Independent Commission for Decentralization will hold a seminar on "Regionalization and Development and Reform of Public Administration" in Faro on Tuesday 7.
The event takes place in the auditorium of the Commission for Regional Coordination and Development (CCDR) of Algarve, with opening session at 14:30 hours.
The first panel on "Regionalization and Regional Development", moderated by the journalist Idálio Revez, will be attended by Rogério Bacalhau (Faro), Rosa Palma (Silves) and Isilda Gomes (Portimão).
"Regionalization and Reform of Public Administration" will be the theme of the second panel, with Vitor Neto (president of NERA) and entrepreneurs João Calçada Correia and Miguel Fernandes, under moderation of the journalist Maria Augusta Casaca.
The closing session will be headed by Jorge Botelho, president of AMAL – Intermunicipal Community of Algarve, and João Cravinho, coordinator of the Independent Commission for Decentralization.
The Independent Commission for Decentralization intends to promote an in-depth study on the organization and functions of the State, at the regional, metropolitan and intermunicipal levels, holding a series of seminars in various regions of the country, where it brings together local authorities, entrepreneurs and other personalities.
