The Regional Directorate for the Algarve of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ) scheduled for the next Friday, 15, at 17:00 hours, at its premises in Faro, the «Ceremony of the Flag of Ethics | Algarve 2020 ».
The session intends to praise "the work developed during the year 2020 by the entities that submitted their application", within the scope of the National Plan for Ethics in Sport (PNED).
The Ethics Flag is addressed to all entities, linked to the sporting phenomenon, who want their work to be “recognized and certified in the promotion of ethical values through sport”.
In this ceremony, applications for training actions on Ethics in Sports and Integrity, which were promoted in 2020 by Clube Desportivo Recreativo Quarteirense and Sporting Clube Olhanense, will be distinguished with the Seal of the Flag of Ethics.
The following entities will be distinguished with the Ethics Flag: Association of Gymnastics of the Algarve, Training department of Clube Futebol Esperança de Lagos, Judo Academy of Faro and Judo Club of Portimão.
On the other hand, considering “the mission in promoting sports values and ethics as one of the pillars of a healthy sports activity, the sports work developed in our region and the demonstration of attitudes that ennoble sport in everything”, IPDJ / Algarve he also decided to honor the Algarve Football Association and cyclist David Livramento.
