"It seems that the world", one of the most acclaimed dance shows debuted in Portugal in 2018, is the latest creation of the choreographer Clara Andermatt that takes to the stage of Cine-Teatro Louletano on June 7, 9:30 p.m., in a happy intersection between dance and music. The play is the result of a co-production between Cine-Teatro Louletano, São Luiz Teatro Municipal, Oporto Municipal Theater and Companhia Clara Andermatt, reflecting once again the strong bet that Cine-Teatro has adopted with regard to stimulus and support for contemporary artistic creation.
The choreographer joins the pianist and composer João Lucas, his longtime collaborator, in a complicity fueled by the questioning of the expressive relations between movement and music.
"It seems that the world", inspired by the book "Palomar", by Italo Calvino, is a showcase that brings us closer to the observing and observed world. By combining intuition and methodical thought, our attention to things is moved by the immensity of what appears to be – either in the broader relations with the cosmos or with infinity, or in the narrower realm of everyday observations, constructing their symbols and meanings .
With a cast of dancers and musicians, this piece, like the work that inspires it, oscillates between three distinct planes: that of observation, that of narrative and that of meditation.
The show lasts approximately 80 minutes, is intended for people over six years of age and has an associated cost per person € 10 or € 8 for over 65 and under 30 years, with applicable Amigo Card.
