João Tordo presents in Loulé his latest book, “The night when summer is over”, in two different contexts: with the school community and at the Municipal Library Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen ..
In an activity within the scope of the Support Service to Libraries of the Municipality, – “Who is in the school?” -, the Municipal Library of Loulé takes the writer to the school libraries of the Secondary School of Loulé and the Secondary School Laura Ayres de Quarteira, on the morning of the 28th.
On February 29, at 3:00 pm, João Tordo will be present at the Headquarters Library, in another session under the heading “Open Books”, for the presentation of his new thriller. There will be a book stand by Livraria Papelnet, where interested parties can purchase the work. At the end of the session, the author autographs his works. Admission is free.
In a story full of mystery, set between Portugal and the United States of America, “The night that summer is over” introduces us to Pedro Taborda, an aspiring writer who, finding a love of adolescence in New York, quickly finds himself involved in one of the most famous homicides of the 90s.
João Tordo was born in Lisbon in 1975. He has 12 published novels, and was the winner of the José Saramago Literary Prize 2009. His books are published in several countries.
