Olhanense, currently ranked 3rd in the Serie H of the Portuguese Football Championship, and coach José Carvalho Araújo sealed the termination of the contractual bond that was in force until the end of the 2021/22 sports season.
“Unfortunately, a working relationship with a special person has ended and he will always be a friend to all red-black aficionados. These months he managed to earn our true respect ”, says the Olhão club, in a statement released on social networks.
The Algarve emblem thanked "the professionalism and dedication of the coach and the entire technical team in the course developed until now", wishing him well "both professionally and personally".
José Carvalho Araújo, 38 years old, with a career in the youth team of Sporting de Braga, left Minho at the beginning of the season to guide Olhanense, where he had just seven games in the third step (four wins, one draw and two losses).
Arlésio Coelho, who held the position of assistant coach, will assume the position of coach on an interim basis until the replacement of Araújo.
