José Morais returns with Jeonbuk to South Korean championship lead

Jeonbuk Motors, coached by Portuguese Jose Morais, won the Gangwon and took the lead of the South Korean championship, with the same points of rival Ulsan, who tied for the 14th round of the competition.

The two-time championship has alternated with Ulsan and today José Morais's team beat out Gangwon, seventh-placed 3-2, and regained a spot ahead of the championship, which he had lost in early May.

Jeonbuk opened the scoring for Moon Seon-Min in the sixth minute but allowed their opponents back in the first half after missing a penalty, but goals from Son Joon-Ho (73) and Moon Seon- Min, who scored (78), provided the triumph to the set of Jose Morais.

The side, who have the same 30 points as Ulsan leading the league, benefited from a goalless draw in a game where they were reduced to ten players in the 81st minute against fourth-placed Daegu.
