The Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro (UFLC) invested 10,000 euros in the purchase of tablets that were delivered, last Thursday, April 23, to the ESPAMOL group of schools.
It is an initiative that also involved the city council of Lagoa, the other parishes in the county, the Rotary Club and EPIS (Association of Entrepreneurs for Inclusion).
In total, 300 tablets and corresponding means of internet access were delivered to the school groupings in the municipality.
The equipment will now be loaned to students who did not have the conditions to follow the classes online. The needs assessment had previously been carried out by each of the schools.
