Within the scope of International Women's Day and Commemorations of the Birth of João de Deus, the Municipal Library of Lagoa, promotes the online conference “João de Deus, the Algarve and the Eternal Feminine: Emotional Borders”, by Maria João Raminhos Duarte.

It will be possible to attend the conference on March 8, at 6 pm on the facebook page of the municipality of Lagoa and the Municipal Library of Lagoa, «where Maria João Raminhos Duarte presents the results of her research in Contemporary History of the Algarve, and where intends to make João de Deus known as a poet, as a painter, as a demagogue and also, his relationship with the eternal feminine, thus celebrating the anniversary of the birth of João de Deus, International Women's Day and Algarve Day », according to the municipality.

The executive points out that «this conference is intended for the general public and, in particular, for everyone who admires and intends to learn more about the life and work of João de Deus, while knowing more about the history of the Algarve and the Algarve soul, its specificities, cultures and charms, through one of its most relevant personalities, personification of the collective soul of the Algarve and, celebrate the International Women's Day which, in João de Deus, assumes a centripetal and multifaceted force ».

The conference also intends to broaden the debate and reflection on the most diverse themes, promoting diversity and plurality of opinions.
